Occupant Warning Response

Occupant Warning Response is a behavioral construct in fire safety science that denotes the individual-level cognitive and affective process through which occupants perceive, interpret, and decide upon appropriate actions in response to fire alarm cues, distinguishing it from broader evacuation models by focusing specifically on the pre-movement phase of warning signal appraisal and behavioral initiation.
