Nucleation On Patterned Substrates

Nucleation On Patterned Substrates is a thin film deposition phenomenon in which the spatial organization and chemical heterogeneity of pre-defined surface patterns on a substrate selectively guide the initiation and growth sites of nucleating islands, thereby enabling controlled morphological and crystallographic arrangement of thin films.
