Non-manifold Mesh Processing

Non-Manifold Mesh Processing is a mesh processing methodology distinguished by its focus on the analysis, representation, and manipulation of polygonal meshes that contain non-manifold topological elements, such as edges shared by more than two faces or vertices connecting disjoint components, which violate the local homeomorphism to Euclidean space required for manifoldness.
