Neuroregeneration is the biological process by which damaged nervous tissue attempts to repair, regrow, or replace itself, and concurrently, the academic field investigating the mechanisms, pathways, and therapeutic strategies aimed at facilitating or enhancing this intrinsic capacity to restore neurological function following injury, disease, or degeneration.
