Nearshore Processes

Nearshore Processes is a subfield of coastal oceanography that encompasses the physical and sedimentary dynamics—principally wave transformation, tidal and wind-driven currents, sediment transport, and associated morphologic change—occurring in the shallow water zone extending from the shoreline seaward across the surf and breaker zones.
