Motion Capture Performance is a form of digital performance in which an actor’s physical movements are recorded through motion capture technology and subsequently mapped onto a virtual character or environment, distinguishing it from other performance modalities by its reliance on real-time bodily data translation within mediated, often three-dimensional, digital spaces.
