Mismatch Severity is a quantitative metric in labor economics and education research that measures the degree of misalignment between the skills possessed by workers and the skills demanded by employers, distinguishing itself from other mismatch indicators by its focus on the intensity and consequences of skill disparities rather than their mere presence or frequency.
