Mff-dependent Fission

Mff-Dependent Fission is a molecular mechanism of mitochondrial fission in which the recruitment of the dynamin-related protein Drp1 to the mitochondrial outer membrane is specifically mediated by the mitochondrial fission factor (Mff), distinguishing it from alternative fission pathways that rely on other adaptor proteins such as Fis1 or MiD49/51.
