Mcm Complex Activation

MCM Complex Activation is a molecular mechanism in DNA replication initiation that refers to the regulated recruitment and conversion of the inactive MCM2-7 hexameric helicase complex into an active, bidirectional replicative helicase at origins of replication through phosphorylation by kinases and association with cofactors such as Cdc45 and GINS.
