Material Obsolescence
Material Obsolescence is a type of obsolescence phenomenon in engineering and product lifecycle management wherein the unavailability or discontinuation of specific substances, compounds, or physical components prevents the continued production, maintenance, or repair of systems reliant on those materials, distinguished by its focus on the loss of foundational physical resources rather than on functional, technological, or informational redundance.
