Lumped-element Approximation

Lumped-Element Approximation is a modeling methodology in transmission line theory that belongs to the class of simplified circuit analysis techniques, distinguished by its assumption that distributed electrical parameters such as resistance, inductance, conductance, and capacitance can be represented as discrete, localized components when the physical length of the line is negligibly small compared to the signal wavelength.
