Long-path Solution

Long-Path Solution is a type of orbital transfer solution within Lambert's Problem that belongs to the class of two-point boundary value solutions for spacecraft trajectory design, distinguished by its traversal of more than 180 degrees—typically approaching or exceeding 360 degrees—along the transfer orbit's path between the initial and final positions, thus representing the longer-time-of-flight alternative when multiple solutions exist for a given boundary condition.
