Local Constitutionalism
Local Constitutionalism is a theoretical framework within the study of Home Rule that designates the system of locally enacted, codified legal norms and institutional arrangements that constitute a subnational entity’s foundational governance structure, thereby distinguishing it from centralized constitutional models by emphasizing autonomous norm creation and institutional self-organization under a broader national constitutional order.
