Landscape Engineering

Landscape engineering is an interdisciplinary research field and applied methodology focused on the design, planning, construction, and management of landscapes to achieve desired ecological, social, and functional outcomes. It investigates the complex interactions between human activities and natural systems within a defined geographic area, employing principles from ecology, hydrology, soil science, civil engineering, and landscape architecture to create resilient, sustainable, and aesthetically pleasing environments, ranging from small-scale interventions to large-scale regional planning.
