Land Coupling

Land coupling is a physical parameterization framework that integrates land surface processes with atmospheric models by mechanistically representing the exchange of energy, water, and momentum between the soil and atmosphere, thereby enabling the simulation of feedbacks inherent in polar coastal processes and latent heat dynamics.
