Ku70-ku80 Complex

The Ku70-Ku80 Complex is a heterodimeric protein complex belonging to the nonhomologous end-joining pathway of DNA double-strand break repair, distinguished by its ability to recognize and bind to DNA ends with high affinity, thereby serving as a critical scaffold for the recruitment of downstream repair factors including DNA-PKcs, XRCC4, and DNA ligase IV, and playing an essential role in V(D)J recombination during immune system development.
