Irony Rendering

Irony Rendering is a subtitling technique that belongs to the class of pragmatic translation strategies, specifically distinguished by its deliberate preservation and transposition of ironic meaning from the source language into the target language through lexical, syntactic, or paratextual means in order to maintain the speaker's intended attitude and implicit critique within audiovisual texts.
