Intersectional Masculinity is a theoretical framework that analyzes masculinity as a gendered identity formation shaped simultaneously by the interlocking systems of race, class, sexuality, and other social hierarchies, thereby distinguishing it from monolithic or essentialist theories of masculinity by foregrounding the multiplicative effects of systemic oppressions.
