Inclining Experiment

Inclining Experiment is a naval-architectural stability test in which known weights are transversely shifted on a nearly lightship vessel and the resulting small heel angles are measured in order to determine the vessel’s displacement and the vertical position of its center of gravity, and thus its initial metacentric height.
