Inclination Test Methodology

Inclination Test Methodology is a formal experimental procedure in naval architecture and marine engineering that systematically determines the stability characteristics of a floating vessel by measuring its angular response to known transverse shifts of mass, thereby distinguishing itself from general hydrostatic analyses through its empirical, on-site validation of metacentric height and center of gravity.
