Image Rectification

Image rectification is a geometric correction technique in photogrammetry and remote sensing that transforms an image into a standard coordinate system by removing distortions caused by sensor orientation, terrain relief, and platform motion, thereby enabling accurate measurement and integration with other geospatial data.
