Illness-death Models

Illness-Death Model is a type of multi-state model that describes the progression of individuals through three distinct states—healthy, ill, and dead—where transitions occur from the healthy state to either the ill state or directly to death, and from the ill state to death, capturing the irreversible nature of disease and mortality processes.
