Host-pathogen Counterdefense

Host-Pathogen Counterdefense is a theoretical framework within the coevolution of counterdefense literature that specifies the mechanisms by which hosts evolve defensive strategies in response to pathogen offenses, while concurrently pathogens evolve countermeasures to overcome host immunity, thereby capturing the reciprocal adaptive dynamics between host and pathogen at the molecular and population levels.
