Genre Remakes

Genre Remakes is a scholarly framework within Remake Studies that systematically reinterprets and reconfigures the formal, thematic, and stylistic conventions of a prior film genre within a new cinematic or cultural context, distinguishing it from other remake types through its focus on genre-level transformation rather than individual narrative or textual adaptation.
