Geminin-mediated Replication Control

Geminin-Mediated Replication Control is a regulatory mechanism in eukaryotic DNA replication that prevents relicensing of origins during S and G2 phases by inhibiting the assembly of the pre-replicative complex through the targeted degradation of Cdt1, thereby ensuring precise duplication of the genome within a single cell cycle.
