Future Persecution

Future Persecution is a legal and human rights construct within refugee and asylum law that denotes a credible, prospective risk of targeted harm or suffering by a state or non-state actor on account of an individual's membership in a protected ground, distinguishing it from past persecution by its anticipatory nature and reliance on predictive evidence of threat.
