Forbearance Agreements

Forbearance Agreements is a contractual device in creditor–debtor law whereby a creditor agrees, for a defined period and on specified conditions, to refrain from exercising existing rights and remedies triggered by a debtor’s default in exchange for the debtor’s acknowledgments, covenants, and often releases that restructure performance and reallocate litigation and lender-liability risks.
