Fire Regime Interactions

Fire Regime Interactions is a theoretical framework that characterizes the reciprocal influences between altered fire frequency, intensity, seasonality, and spatial patterns and the processes of vegetation encroachment, distinguishing itself from other fire-related constructs by explicitly modeling feedback loops whereby encroaching vegetation modifies fire behavior and fire history, in turn, shapes vegetation dynamics.
