False Light Publicity

False Light Publicity is a legal and ethical tort in privacy law whereby an individual is portrayed in a misleading or distorted manner that creates a false impression in the public eye, even if the information disseminated is technically true, thereby distinguishing it from defamation by focusing on the misrepresentation of meaning rather than factual falsity.
