Expectancy Test is a legal doctrine within corporate law that determines whether a corporate opportunity is owed to a corporation by assessing whether the corporation had a legitimate expectation, based on prior practices or tangible steps, to pursue the opportunity, thereby distinguishing it from mere speculation or incidental interest.
