Excision Theorem

The Excision Theorem is a fundamental result in algebraic topology that, within the category of homology theories, distinguishes itself by asserting that the relative homology groups of a pair (X, A) are isomorphic to those of a subpair (U, A) when the closure of U is contained in the interior of A, thereby enabling the computation of homology by excising negligible subspaces.
