Equilibrium-Based Design is a form-finding methodology that belongs to the class of structural design approaches in which the primary shaping criterion is the attainment of static equilibrium under specified loading conditions, distinguished from other methods by its reliance on the balanced distribution of internal forces as the fundamental generator of geometric configuration.
