Entropy-driven Binding
Entropy-Driven Binding is a thermodynamic mechanism of molecular recognition in which the favorable increase in total system entropy, often derived from the release of ordered solvent molecules or enhanced conformational flexibility upon complex formation, overcomes an enthalpic penalty and drives the association of intrinsically disordered proteins with their binding partners.
