Electrode Conditioning

Electrode Conditioning is a preparatory procedure in ion-selective electrode methodology whereby the electrode membrane is equilibrated through immersion in a solution of specific ionic composition and concentration to establish a stable and reproducible potential response, distinguishing it from other electrode treatments by its focus on achieving thermodynamic readiness for accurate ion activity measurement.
