Double Renvoi

Double Renvoi is a conflict of laws doctrine whereby a court, having applied its own conflict rules to refer a matter to a foreign law, is referred back to the original legal system, and instead of applying the foreign law, accepts the referral as binding and re-references to its own substantive law.
