About

Distributed artificial intelligence is a subfield of artificial intelligence concerned with the study, design, and implementation of systems composed of multiple interacting autonomous or semi-autonomous intelligent agents. This research area investigates how these agents can effectively coordinate, communicate, and cooperate or negotiate to solve problems that are beyond the capabilities of any single agent, or to achieve global objectives through local interactions, emphasizing issues of concurrency, distribution of knowledge and control, and emergent system behavior.
