Democratic Kampuchea

Democratic Kampuchea is the official name of the Cambodian state under the radical communist regime led by the Khmer Rouge from 1975 to 1979, distinguished from other revolutionary socialist states by its extreme agrarian utopianism, abolition of currency and private property, and systematic implementation of mass violence resulting in widespread genocide.
