Dechlorination Elimination

Dechlorination Elimination is an elimination reaction in organic chemistry wherein vicinal or geminal chlorine atoms are removed from a molecule as chloride ions, resulting in the formation of a carbon–carbon double bond or aromatic system, distinguished from other dehalogenation processes by its specific expulsion of chlorine substituents to generate unsaturation.
