Cross-language Influence
Cross-Language Influence is a scholarly construct in cross-cultural literary exchange that denotes the phenomenon wherein linguistic, stylistic, thematic, or structural elements from one language system are absorbed, adapted, or transformed in the literary production of another language, thereby distinguishing it from intra-linguistic influence by its transcultural and translational mediating function.
