Critical Points

Critical point is a unique thermodynamic state in a phase diagram at which the liquid and vapor phases of a substance become indistinguishable, characterized by the termination of the phase equilibrium curve where the first and second derivatives of the Gibbs free energy exhibit a singularity, marking the highest temperature and pressure at which distinct liquid and gas phases can coexist.
