Correspondent Banking

Correspondent Banking is an interbank contractual arrangement whereby one bank (the correspondent) maintains deposit accounts for and provides payment, clearing, and related financial services to another bank (the respondent), typically in a different jurisdiction, thereby enabling the respondent to conduct cross‑border transactions without a physical presence in that market.
