Conviction Measure

Conviction Measure is a probabilistic evaluation metric in pattern discovery that quantifies the difference between the observed frequency of a rule’s antecedent and consequent and the frequency that would be expected if the antecedent and consequent were independent, thereby indicating the degree to which the presence of the antecedent influences the consequent in a logically asymmetric manner.
