Confidence Interval Estimation

Confidence Interval Estimation is a statistical inference method that, within the context of discrete-event simulation and parameter estimation under uncertainty, provides a range of values around an estimated parameter, derived from sample data, which is expected to contain the true parameter value with a specified level of confidence, thereby quantifying the precision of the estimate in relation to measurement uncertainty and supporting reliability validation in simulation modeling.
