Compatible State Aid

Compatible State Aid is a form of state intervention that, while distorting competition to some extent, is deemed acceptable under European Union competition law because it fulfills specific criteria set out in the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union and contributes to the efficient achievement of a well-defined objective of common interest, thereby distinguishing it from other forms of state aid that are inherently incompatible with the internal market.
