Classical Editing is a film editing methodology within the Classical Hollywood Cinema tradition that systematically employs continuity techniques such as the 180-degree rule, shot-reverse-shot, and match-on-action to ensure spatial and temporal coherence, thereby subordinating the edit to the narrative illusion.
