Clarithromycin Resistance

Clarithromycin Resistance is a microbial resistance phenotype characterized by the reduced susceptibility of Helicobacter pylori to clarithromycin, typically due to point mutations in the 23S rRNA gene, which impedes the antibiotic's binding to the bacterial ribosome and thereby compromises the efficacy of eradication therapy.
