Cis-regulatory Element Function
Cis-Regulatory Element Function is a genomic regulatory mechanism that specifies the spatial, temporal, and quantitative patterns of gene expression by enabling the binding of transcription factors to non-coding DNA sequences, thereby modulating the recruitment and activity of RNA polymerase in a cell-type-specific manner during processes such as zygotic genome activation.
