Child-directed Movement

Child-Directed Movement is a pedagogical construct in the domain of early childhood music education that refers to spontaneous, self-initiated motor responses to auditory stimuli, distinguished by the child’s autonomous control over the form, timing, and expressive qualities of movement, in contrast to adult-guided or structurally constrained movement activities.
