Canopy Temperature Moderation

Canopy Temperature Moderation is a microclimate regulation mechanism that refers to the process by which vegetation canopies attenuate diurnal temperature fluctuations through the interception and redistribution of solar radiation, evaporative cooling, and thermal insulation, thereby maintaining a more stable thermal environment beneath the canopy relative to ambient conditions.
