Camera Simulation

Camera Simulation is a computational technique within photorealistic visualization that models the optical and mechanical behavior of real-world cameras to generate synthetic images with physically accurate depth of field, motion blur, lens distortion, and exposure, distinguishing it from abstract or idealized rendering methods by its fidelity to actual photographic processes.
